Gordon brown's time as chancellor was the endless friction and increasing tension between him and tony blair. A hostility at s between the two camps was really marked. Eventually, they did agree on quite a lot of things. They fundamentally agreed on the nature on the deficit and some of the redistributional things. For to day the chancellor stepped into unknown territory, and the country with him. This man doesn't have a reputation as a gambler, but truly, the plan he has outlined represents a dramatic throw of the only months ago.
