I wish I'd known you three years ago because we've just produced a series of four books on the learning power approach. We have to be clear about what it is that we're trying to help kids develop not some kind of fluffy holistic notion, he says. "It's going to take a bit of determination and a bit of courage and some arguments and some coaching but we're going to get there" He adds: 'More and more schools ought to be shifting from this sense of sort of beleagueredness'
