What Is the Cross Play in Open Standards?

Cross play is more of a organizational will power thing, not a technical thing. And now we have a r and vr and canvas and jobescriptapi that allow us to even do things like this podcast without a plug end,. Where do you see row blocks in a world without a client? Or even tunnels into other meta verses, like something as simple as x blocks and play station? There's no reason i couldn't build a tunnel and have a concert and roll blocks and fortnight at the same time. It would be technically possible, perhaps, but maybe not organizationally possible.
