Evidence of Volcanism on the Surface of Venus

Researchers have found evidence of active volcanism on the surface of Venus for the first time. The new evidence comes from a manual search of radar images from NASA's Magellan spacecraft, which orbited the planet from 1990 to 1994. Images stopped short of revealing an exploding volcano, but show a one square mile vent that changes shape over eight months.
