Do You Think That the Russians Were More Successful in the West?
I think until 2014 they also had quite a free hand in Ukraine because nobody to be honest saw them at the real threat. There were some activists or journalists doing investigations but the status such was weak enough to actually go after them and really investigate what it is they were doing. For example, in Crimea before the annexation in 2013, Russian international aid was not doing cultural projects or humanitarian assistance. They were actually brainwashing the local population and journalists about Nazi regime in Kiev. So they wanted to prepare the ground for eventual annexation. In the West they are more benign, you could argue, but they do penetrate universities and what they do is they also kind of spread this ideology. We should be just
