The Price of Onions

Rise in inflation and too much rain meant that the price of onions was unaffordable for many indians. During her campaign, which lasted around two months, inderagandi delivered up to 20 speeches a day during a forty thousand mile tour of almost 400 constituencies around India. In those days, when one went to buy vegetables, including onions, there were long tuwes pickly. People felt that it's a government that should protect prices and see to it that they got onions at a reasonable price. There was a lot of unhappiness.
