The term woke has been defined by Eric Mason in a sermon at Dallas Theological Seminary as an urban colloquialism. It was used by the black nationalist and those who are in the black consciousness movement. If you can't see white supremacy or gender inequality or systemic racism then you're not woke. Once you become awakened to these issues then you must approach the problems through what's known as intersectionality. Intersectionality in many ways has become the new gospel.
