I encourage everyone to understand how that professional gets paid. There's a lot of hidden commissions and stuff that happens in the financial world. And then when you talk to a potential financial professional, or whatever title they hold, is to just really tell me, like, what services do you provide? What do you help with? If there's a really particular or acute pain point you have in your financial life, just understand what their approach would be to it.
