The Importance of Status Uncertainty in Higher Education
As people are moving through what we describe as economic mobility they often find themselves feeling unsure about who they even are. The longer you continue on to pursuing goals or taking you to new places and communities that a you may not feel fully a part of, it can start to take a cost to your psychological well-being if you don't have the important relationships in place. We look at this as a psychological phenomenon but it's not something that must occur right? You know one of the reasons why people run into this is because structures like higher education are oftentimes designed around pursuing something individually in a way that you know is in disregard to other forces or connection out there.
