Are Bell Peppers Air Tight?

Are bell peppers air tight? Are they waterproof. Did air get inside them when they were growing? Is there just a vacuum inside of them until we slice them open? What a great question. And i also have no frickin idea of the answer. I had to google this a but i did. Ah, and sothat's why they will sometimes fill your tires up with nitrogen instead of oxygen and nitrogen,. because nitrogen will take diffuse more slowly than an atmospheric gas which contains more stuff than just nitrogen.
