Cognitive behavioral therapy is based on the idea that if I change my thoughts I'll change the way I feel and I'll give myself an opportunity then to respond differently in the world around me. The body can't white knuckle or overcome if my body is telling my brain a different message unfortunately my brain is going to listen to my body not the will or the intention the desire to do something differently we really do have to employ the body which is why I shift it into a much more holistic approach.
