The Importance of Hyaluronic Acid in Skin Care
The low molecular weight hyaluronic acids have been linked to a pro inflammatory effect. In your skin, that's actually what HA does. The naturally occurring HA is for like wound healing. It gets triggered when there is an inflammatory effect to help with like wound healing and it's very complicated. Our skin doesn't make low molecular weight HA the way that it gets like chopped up and put into skincare products. So it might not be naturally compatible with some people's skin and I'm going to raise my hand and say that's me.
