Was the Olympic Truce a Myth?
There was a truce, but it wasn't the kind of truce that we make it out to me. The olympics were for men. Women aren't allowed to enter. Were they allowed to be spectators? No. This just other men, just men fighting men in front of men. So married women definitely not allowed. But on occasion, unmarried women, young men were allowed. You also had to be greek. And even some really famous people like philip of macedon, the father of alexander the great, had quite a lot of trouble proving he was greek enough can make some dolmas. I think ther should be a sort of a bake off
