Is There a Complete List of Spiritual Gifts?
Timothy Stanley: Paul's mention of spiritual gifts is not necessarily a comprehensive list, but it can be viewed as examples of God's empowering or creative work within someone. If you look in 1 Corinthians 12, Paul talks about the gifts, these empowerments by the Spirit. He lists nine there; if you look at another list of these gifts in Ephesians 4, Paul is 5 and they don't really overlap with either of the other two. So I think that should lead us comparing those four lists to think that there are probably many more that the spirit can activate than just the ones that are mentioned. And then you have to look at what's missing that you think might be there
