The History of the Royal Navy

In 1935 the Royal Navy had less than half an hour of anti-aircraft ammunition if they were firing full tilt. The Italian navy also had the advantage when it came to small ships, including destroyers. This destroyer advantage would just increase in early 1936 when some German submarines were delivered to the Italians. There were discussions about talking with the Germans to try and purchase some ammunition although those efforts did not progress very far.
