Papio Daniel and the Aladdin Laddies

Papio Daniel was a sponsor of WBAP Radio in the late 1920s and early 30s. The band became immensely successful, but they were not particularly well paid. O'Daniel insisted that everyone in the band would have to actually work a day job at the mill as well. He even got his own theme song, Pass the Biscuits Papi. In 1932, the light-crust doughboys made their first recording, though they did so under the name Fort Worth Doughboys.
