I Don't Think It's a Class for the Sake of Class
i don't think it's a class for the sake of class. And, you know, three cheers for just nastalgic larping. Some of the stuff he says is so prescient because he is describing something that is obvious now, but could not have been as obvious back then. So what hes saying is that when everything n predicated of an aritocracy, even if your society isn't totally amaritocratic, there's actually more opportunity to be inflamed with envy at people who've made it.
