The Problem With the AEW Women's Division
There was never really felt like there was any type of story being built with her other than she keeps winning matches. And I think that's probably my biggest problem with the AEW women's division in general is it felt very start-stopish. The throughlines for Athena and Willow Nightingale were kind of, oh, this is the it'd be cool if they had three matches. There's not been much invested. So it's really hard for people to get invested. Realistically, if the time isn't being put in by the people who are trying to put on the product, you can't then have the fans suddenly go up when you try and have these moments.
