Is There a Divine Purpose?
Paul asks the series of rhetorical questions before launching into a triumphant proclamation at the end of the chapter. The first question is, if God is for us, who can be against us? Paul goes on to give a roll call of the forces, the powers and the extremities of creation,. not one of which would be able to cut us off from God's love.
