CNN's John Defterios says the number of refugees in Europe is likely to be much higher than 4 million. The BBC reported that Russia has accepted more than 1,000 asylum seekers a day from Ukraine. But there are also border crossings with other countries such as Hungary and Romania which could add up to hundreds of thousands over several days or even weeks.
