The Sex Industry in Shakespeare's Play
Sex is inescapably woven throughout Shakespeare. We know so little about the man who actually wrote it next to nothing at all. It's one of the reasons I think he's still so much part of our culture. Would it help if there was a hundred volumes of letters? For example, we got letters from him to his wife and he calls her my good sweet mouse. He writes to her about the garden and how much he's missing her. But if we have those letters from Shakespeare, would it somehow make him a bit more feminine? Maybe that's an interesting point.
