Free Speech in America
In america, power comes from the people, and so obviously their representatives cannot legitimately censor the people. In britain there's a great sort of radical politician called george grod he also is an expert in ancient greek history. He invokes the athenian democracy, which has been discredited for a long time. There's a lot of threand laws that make me uncomfortable, but there's still very strong free speech instinct in europe too. As i said, when does that actually come to what we're trying to reach? I would consider the kind of modern conception of free speech as being like caviats or Aminatullah al-Husayni
