James Henrady's Trial
The trial against james henrady lasted 21 days. It was the longest against one defendant in british history. Over 80 witnesses were called to give evidence. The jury retired for deliberations after six hours of deliberation. They reappeared four hours later and found him guilty. He was sentenced to death by hanging. James's mother collapsed and fainted when she heard the verdict.
