A quantum computer is intrinsically a hybrid analog digital system so it's digital in the sense that you know when you measure a qubit you measure a zero or one. prior to that measurement that qubit can take a continuum of values and that sort of analog encoding means that you have to worry about errors. You need 10 000 physical qubits to encode just one logical error corrected and therefore useful qubit.
