Is the Big Other a Singular Entity?
The big other can be singular in the sense that for a child, one of the parents is operating as the big other. The little other is just isolated individuals who are connected through symbolic order. We certainly conform to idiology like we conform to the big other, so there's a parallel in that way. But i don't think there's a direct overlap between the two.
