How Did You Close the First Customer?
A lot of my listeners right now that I've built side projects that have a good user base, but either they're nervous to ask someone to pay. They don't know how to launch to pay well or there's other reasons they don't have a paying customer yet. The first customer I closed was a consulting firm who was trying to solve this exact problem. And so to the point about charging, a lesson I learned a long time ago in building enterprise software is your software is worth what you say it's worth early on. If you tell people it's worth nothing and you offer a freemium tier, then it's kind of worth nothing.
