The Subpersonal Dimensions of Selfhood

If you grew up in an environment without any social interaction, I would imagine that you may never develop the capability to experience social dimensions of selfhood. It's obvious there's no necessary loss of self just by being physically isolated from other people provided you actually grew up in some normal circumstance. And we can get quite low down to experiences of volition and agency to what I'm making. We have experiences intending to make actions and we've experiences of being the cause of things that happen. These are quite subpersonal aspects of selfhood which probably don't depend on social contacts at all. The only counter examples I can think to that are these weird pathological cases where people believe they're dead but
