Comparative Concepts in Linguistics
A lot of linguistics professors or PhDs are conflating formal and functional concepts in many cases when they use a term like noun or adjective. I argue that you need comparative concepts for semantics. You need comparative concepts to describe constructional form. And there are ways to describe form that's not specific to a particular language.
