King Gruffith of Glamorgan

In addition to promoting the arts, king gruffeth was also ruling from a royal court that was heavily organized. And you can see how that would have appealed to many of the powerful and educated members of society. There's a document contained in the book of flandaf where gruffith is listed as the king of all wales. But we also see king murig of glamorgan appearing as a witness. So why do we have a king of glamorgan there? Well, scholars suspect that king griffith may have been ruling over all of wales, but in at least one region he was acting as an over king, rather than as a direct monarch.
