You've Got to Live Out the World
In Philippians 2 in verse 2, he's talking about the kind of people we ought to be. He says: Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. And then down in verse 14, do everything without complaining or arguing so that you may become blameless and pure. What is he saying? He's saying, you've got to live out the world. You've got to be light in the darkness. I want you to be a voice for the oppressed. But I'm not going to put my root of joy in you. There's no one else on planet earth who can say that about me.
