How to Keep a Position Open if the Underlying Security Isn't Challenged
If you're inside five days to expiration and the underlying security is challenging one of your short strikes, boom, closes the position right away. But if you're in expiration week, but you're not being cha anged on the position, it means that you can keep the position open and see if you can eventually get a profit. So think about this, right? If you have an iron condor the last week of expiration, that's dead, middle of your strikes, and you don't have a profit yet, that's still a trade you want to continue to watch and monitor. That's intelligent way to trade.
