Is the French Ecosystem Still Needing the Government?

The number of venture firms in Paris and France now wouldn't be there without the government intervention. I mean, the venture capital industry here 10 years ago was almost nonexistent. Do you think the French ecosystem still needs the government? How would it do if the government just said, hey, we're leaving you startups to fend for yourselves from now on? That's a great question. And there's a healthy debate even for what's happened up till now.
