Is There a Short Term Forecast?

Short term forecast is almost entirely explained by the last hour's worth of data. So if we don't need deep learning techniques for short term, what's changed when we zoom out and look at a large, global system? Why does it become a propriate methodology? I wold say not too much. With that ide i mind, everything is bat so what i would recommend for people that is interesting in traffic for casting is to let this aside and to focus more on traffic profiling or graff neural networks.
