The Rise of Structuralism

A lot of philosophers are trying to find this underlying structure that we need to understand the world. As they're looking at this underlying structure, people propose all sorts of different things. Marx proposes that fundamentally economic relations are the structure through which we understand things. Another point that is going to be really influential for the rise of structuralism is Hegel's idea of the totality.
