Is Race a Symbolic Concept?
Todd: I think psychoanalysis needs to be a theory that can address race and a current contemporary in like kind of urgent way. And if we position their three terms along, uh, lecans orders of the imaginary, symbolic and real, something I think pretty interesting happens, which is that we see that race craft as Todd's example. Like race craft is the, uh, is the imaginary. It is it, you know, the 23 and me, um, like all of this belief in the, the multiple races that can be shown rationally and through science. Right? So where, where do we make the turn to, to, toward psychoanalysis here?
