The Fur Tree
The sun skittered behind a cloud. The lights of trees frozen dew drops went out. People did not put them in cars. A shiver of doubt ran through trees trunk. What was the meaning of this? Tree found himself gazing down the street at the other Douglas fur but it stood as it usually did lofty and imperious. It happened again three days later. This time the fur tree was in some kind of webbed sleeve. Dressed in such a ridiculous costume, tree nearly didn't recognize it as a fur tree at all.
