Are Planes Worse Than Cars for the Climate?
There are 11 thousand 225 aeroplanes flying above the earth. A single trip consumes as much fuel, as much climate impact as a couple of weeks, up to months of ordinary car travel. The planes actually cause the formation of clouds, and that's about as bad for the climate as just the carbon from the fuel.
