How to Emancipate People of Your Own
The number of Christian slaves in the Ottoman navy must have been two or three or four years. There were whole sort of semi monastic orders in Christendom to deal with this. It was a major character enterprise within the Mediterranean to emancipate people of your own religion and have them sent back. And it's a constant story also if you read some of these late medieval, these little sort of novellas written in early French and so on.
