Evolution is designed to make us good enough to survive, but it's non't going to make us all geniuses. If you talk to other people, they can be sources of invaluable insight into yourself. Just watching what other people do and bench marking what you do verses what they do could be a source of insight. It takes a village for a person to know themselves.
