Deliberate practice is a special type of practice that is purposeful and systematic, whereas regular practice can easily fall into just being mindless repetition. So for example, you could know all the theory about riding a bike or learning to ski or playing the piano but without actually doing ityou're not going to be any good at it. Deliberate practice requires focus attention and with the specific goal of improving your performance. The best golfers, actors, podcasters, are always happy to break down what they are doing and embrace improvements to be made.
Success lies outside of our comfort zone. Learning to regularly leave our comfort zone behind is the key to growing and achievement.
