Cost is a very advanced topic that you don't see people early on, younger infrastructure teams or younger DevOps teams. I do have some general practices for cost, like tagging, doing things on demand, scheduling, auto scaling, et cetera. And of course, I need to have an entire show on that, probably bring on the Duckbill group, someone who really focuses on cost in AWS.
