The Freudian Joke
Freud's model of the human mind is a bit like an iceberg. A lot of ideas that are sexual and aggressive and taboos, we've got those in the head and we unconsciously suppress them. We push them into the unconscious and they sit there bubbling up - it's not good for us. And so you should release that psychic energy. The problem is you can't suddenly be aggressive or whatever, because it's socially unacceptable. So you tell a joke about those topics and that releases that psychicenergy.
