Introduction
It's Christmas Day 1905. The Bolsheviks, a faction of the Russian Social Democratic Labour Party have gathered in Finland. In their midst are two dictators who will go down in history as originators of left-wing tyranny. Lenin emerged from the comfort of the middle classes; Stalin has pulled himself up by his bootstraps. But on this occasion Stalin is left disappointed.
