Barbie and the Queer Plus Community

Mattel has emerged as unapologetic vocal allies of the LGBTQ plus community. There are countless stories of queer children playing with Barbies growing up or dreaming of playing with her but were prevented from it because of strict societal gender cuts. Isaac Miss Rahi and Eve Saint Laurent credit Barbie with peaking their interest in fashion. And these are just two of the numerous queer fashion designers in and out of house at Mattel that have dressed Barbie into today.
