i think it's useful to distinguish between something that's effortful and challenging or uncomfortable, and suffering or pain. I've had various projects that i would say were really hard. They were physically gruelling to get the work done. But what i was focused on is, this is what i want to accomplish. This is a thing i want to create. And part of the mind set that comes from thinking about values in the way rand recommends is she hasa,. She likes this expression that comes up in one of her essays, a causality versus duty.
