I feel like NWA was another one of those seminal moments. When you're 14, I actually gangsters. Now fast forward today, they're talking about taking lyrics and prosecuting people based on lyrics and songs. Bobby Schmerder had a hit song and in the first fucking line of it, he admits to killing someone... How far we've come. Rick believes the motivation for hip hop has changed. You used to be just about feeding the scene and making music. Once people make money, obviously that's going to happen.

Two words for this week; Rick Ruben.

As I sit here and type this, we celebrate our 4 year anniversary! It was on this day, the same day our country legalized weed, that we went out and bought the worst gear money could buy and sat down to do something we had never done before. None of us knew anything about recording. We knew nothing about audio, video, or anything to do with editing them. We really had no business starting a podcast at all. But we did! And here we are, exactly 4 years later. Better gear, still no idea what we're doing.

All this is to say thank you! I truly never though anyone would listen. Nor did I think we'd be sitting here 4 years later still trying. First four was a grind but well worth it. Next four....
