The Stoics and Cognitive Therapy

I mainly practice cognitive behavioral therapy, which is inspired by stoicism originally anyway. Albert Ellis in the 1950s was the pioneer of cognitive therapy. He called his approach rational and motive behavior therapy. So it was kind of easy for me to assimilate stoicism because it's a kind of cousin of cognitive therapy anyway.
