Christian: Minnie claimed that the hot water heater in her basement busted and the steam mixed with rust and mud, et cetera, must have shot up through the ductwork. Kurt Rowlett theorized that she may have just allowed herself to come to this conclusion as a way to settle her own nerves about the severity of the situation. Christian: It's entirely possible that she was after some time settled was able to remove herself from the direct evidence. She convinced herself that it was nothing more than just a normal mishap in order to become comfortable with her family home.
