I think the large language models provide some evidence in support of the general hypothesis that humans have inductive biases to learn certain types of constructions, and they can do it relatively with little data compared to what a model can. The child's learning is not going to be anything remotely as large as what's required to train chat GPT. I don't imagine there's any reason to believe this kind of language would ever be learnable by human beings. In some cases we had just clearly had an exploit where the dependency dependencies are beyond short-term memory. But these models are exploiting those capacity so you knowhuman couldn't do it because they couldn't perform on 27 times like that. It
