In 1859 when Nietzsche was still a teenager, Darwin published his landmark work, Origin of the Species. In 1844 in Germany, he was really the first philosopher to call Darwin's bluff. His ideas were later the foundation of the ideology of the Third Reich. He hated Christianity because he believed it was a powerful lie by which the weak oppressed the strong.
